Physicians track
What is the physician's track?
The physician's track is open to participants who have completed their MD studies. The program allows you to gain experience in your specialty in Tel Aviv's finest hospitals, under the tutelage of expert physicians in the field. As a participant in this track, you will receive a temporary license to practice medicine in Israel, as well as malpractice insurance, and will be able to actually work as a doctor in Israel.

Why in Israel?
Hospitals and medical facilities in Israel offer state-of-the-art medical treatment in every aspect of clinical medicine. One of the key elements of our facilities success is our devotion to clinical and basic research that has led to Israel being a world leader in both basic and applied research. In addition, technology plays a leading role in Israeli medicine, and hospitals are constantly pioneering new approaches and technologies that will benefit their patients. The academic teaching institutes include hospitals that provide acute, sub-acute and chronic care to patients.

What does the program include?
Licensing
The Career Israel Physicians track is affiliated with the Sackler School of Medicine at the Tel Aviv University. All participants will receive a temporary license to practice medicine in Israel, contingent on their supplying all required documentation.

Placements
Placements are available in most specialties. For a full list of available specialties go to the search page. Placements are available in a variety of hospitals and rehabilitation centers in the Tel Aviv area including: Tel Hashomer, Ichilov, the Rabin Medical Center, Schneider, Meir, Bet Levenstein

Other program components
Participants in this track are full participants in the Career Israel program, and are required to participate in all of the general supplementary educational components of the program including ulpan, tours, seminars and lectures. Application and requirements
Applicants to the Media and Journalism track should fill out the general application for the Career Israel program on line and request placement in the field of medicine.

Costs and Payment
The cost for participation in this track is $6,050, before Masa scholarships, according to the following breakdown:
$5300: Participation in the Career Israel program. To see what this includes go to the "What's included" page.
$200: A non-refundable application fee (application fee must be paid in order for the program to process your application.
$2000: Payment for the training, licensing and insurance relevant to the Physician's track.
