Career Israel provides you with accommodation in central locations in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem or Haifa. Please be aware that housing standards in Israel may be very different than those of your home country. Apartments in Israel are generally far smaller than their counterparts in the United States, and therefore your Career Israel housing may be very different from college dormitory standards in your home country or from your previous housing experiences.

Tel Aviv:
Career Israel provides participants with dormitory-style housing in a central location in Tel Aviv. Participants are housed in double-occupancy rooms, although single-occupancy rooms are available at an additional cost.

Use the interactive map of Tel Aviv to learn more about the city.

Jerusalem:
The accommodations in Jerusalem are in the Mt. Scopus Student village. Five participants share an apartment with a common kitchenette (including a refrigerator, microwave, stove-top and electric kettle), a living room and bathrooms.

Each participant has his or her own small room furnished with a bed, a closet and a desk. Laundry and cleaning services are not provided, but can be found within the village area.

In addition, the accommodations are within walking distance of the French Hill commercial center where there is a supermarket, pharmacy and other stores. It is also within walking distance of the Mt. Scopus campus of Hebrew University.

Participants have the option of joining the university fitness center for a discounted rate. It is not within walking distance of the city center; however there is frequent bus service to most locations in Jerusalem.

Haifa:
The Haifa housing is located in the Bat Galim neighborhood, near the coast. Participants will be living in college dormitory housing and will each have their own room. Please check the site at a later date for pictures.

Independent (non- Career Israel sponsored) Housing: Participants can choose to live in their own housing that they arrange independently for the duration of the program. Participants who do so will be responsible for arriving on their own to ulpan and educational programming and for covering the cost of their commute from their housing to the programming. Participants interested in this option must inform the Career Israel staff six weeks prior to the start date of the program. The cost of the February 2010 session of the Career Israel program for those who choose to live in independent housing for the duration of the program will be $4100. The cost of the program for those who choose to live in the Career Israel housing for the ulpan segment of the program and who will live independently for the internship portion of the program is $4400. The cost of the program will be reported to MASA as such. Participants who decide to live independently after the start date of the program will be charged the full cost of the program and will not receive any discount.
