The Career Israel program is divided into two segments: Orientation- Ulpan and
the Internship track.
Orientation and Ulpan Track
The educational
programming in the Orientation and Ulpan segment of the program is designed to
acquaint you with Israeli society and to prepare you for a successful
internship experience. The program begins with a five-day orientation in
Jerusalem that both gives you the opportunity to get to know the other members
of the group as well as to tour Israel's capital.
After the orientation, the group transfers to Tel Aviv for the Ulpan (Hebrew
language study) segment of the program. If you will be in Tel Aviv for your
internship, then you will move into your permanent housing at this time. If you
will be interning in Jerusalem, you will be living in temporary housing for the
duration of the Ulpan. In addition to the Ulpan classes, there will be
afternoon programming that includes:

Lectures on topics such as: Israeli politics, minorities in Israeli society,
Jewish holidays, Aliyah from Ethiopia

Workshops on: Israeli film, Israeli work culture, Internship preparation

Tours of the Tel Aviv area

Visits to Hi-tech companies

Volunteer work
Internship Track
During the internship segment of the program there will be educational programs
2-3 times a month. Programs include:

Religion and the State in Israel

Remembrance and Celebration in Israeli society
Overnight Tours:

The Galillee and Golan

Dialogue Seminar with Israeli students in Ein Gedi
Ending Seminar

The large majority of our participants have been to Israel in the past, so we
make every effort to take the programming up a notch by bringing you
first-class speakers and creating unique encounters with Israelis and Israeli
society.
