On the Career Israel internship program, participants work one-on-one with an internship coordinator who specializes in his or her field prior to arrival. As a program, over the past six years, we have built connections and relationships with almost 700 internship opportunities (Click here to search internships), and each internship coordinator oversees placements in particular sectors. We will guide you through the many options and provide you with written evaluations of internships and connect you to participants who previously interned in placements where relevant.
Most participants have an internship secured before arrival, although some placements are confirmed pending in person interviews, or take longer to arrange. Our internship coordinators walk you through this interview process, and check in with you and your supervisor throughout your internship to ensure the best internship experience possible. Career Israel set out to be trailblazers as the concept of an internship is still very new in Israel. This could mean that your internship involves a job description which is more fluid than what you are used to in your home country- which often works out to the benefit of our participants. While the lack of job definition might be frustrating at times, participants can often go above and beyond what’s expected of an intern, and be a part of bigger projects.
