My name is Erica Susan Brooke Schwarz. I’m from Cherry Hill, New Jersey and recently graduated with an MBA from Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey. I came on Career Israel to get a feel for how it would be to live and work in Israel, and also to gain experience by doing an internship in an MNC (multinational corporation).
I am currently living in the heart of Tel Aviv, and working at ECI Telecom in Petach Tikvah. For me, the best part has been getting to learn about the telecommunications industry and gaining experience in a large MNC. The experiences I’ll take back to the US with me have to do with learning about the culture and work environment from my coworkers and superiors. I would like to work in a similar company when I get home and this internship is surely preparing me for that day.
The Career Israel programming has been unbelievable. I have gotten to see many different beautiful places in Israel. I have learned so much from my peers, Israeli and non- Israeli. My favorite trips with Career Israel have definitely been the hiking we did in the Negev, and our trip to the Kinneret. On these trips we got to see not only the beautiful majestic landscapes of the rocky terrain but we also learned about how the places were formed and the tales of people who have passed through the lands. I will carry all of these beautiful memories with me for the rest of my life.
