“After I graduated college, I knew I wanted to do an internship to gain more experience and boost my resume. Since I had recently gone on Taglit-Birthright, I figured I’d come back to Israel. The internship coordinators were really helpful when I was looking for the right internship for me. I ended up doing a marketing internship at Jinni in Rosh Ha’Ayin and learned a lot. I managed Jinni’s Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, edited blogs and did research. Career Israel was a great way to get work experience, while also getting a feel for what it’s like to live in Israel.

After the program ended, I decided I wanted to stay in Israel and work. My boss from Jinni was very helpful and sent me job opportunities she came across and was willing to give me great recommendations when I put her down as a reference. After lots of interviews, I finally got hired at a start up company called PairApp. I haven’t been here long, but so far I am using the skills I learned at my internship through Career Israel and still learning a lot. It’s nice working at a small company because you are able to learn a lot and everyone here is nice and super friendly. If I have any questions someone is always willing to help me out, whether it’s work related or about something else. I am now making aliyah and living in Tel Aviv.”
