Israel is a global leader, particularly through start-ups, in the high-tech arena, and offers a plethora of opportunities for students and young adults interested in personal and professional advancement in the tech sector. This is your chance to see how the Start-up nation got its name, whether you want to do marketing or business development or coding and programming, interns will be placed in a variety of different positions with new and developing companies at the center of Tel Aviv’s tech scene.

*participants will also take part in two scheduled weekend programs

Cost: $500

Included: Housing, insurance, food stipend, ground transportation and program costs.
All participants are responsible for cost of and arranging their own flights.

This Onward Israel program is operated through a partnership between the Beacon and Shapira Foundations and other lead philanthropists and The Jewish Agency for Israel. It is organized by Israel Experience.

Apartments or dorm-style housing in suburbs of Tel Aviv


This program is open to young adults aged 19-27, from around the world, who are fluent in English, with an interest in working in a tech start-up:

  • who have NOT spent more than 3 months collectively in Israel on peer-programming
  • who have NOT participated on another Onward Israel or MASA program
  • who did NOT complete their secondary education at a Jewish day school in North America

 Onward Israel GoTech is one of our global, field of interest based programs, designed for applicants with a specific interest in working and exploring Israel through this topical lens. Preference will be given to applicants who are not eligible for a community based Onward Israel program.
