Job Description

Interning with the World WIZO Marketing & Public Relations Division offers volunteers from abroad the opportunity to gain valuable experience in marketing, public relations, and journalism in an international non-profit organization dedicated to assisting women, children and the elderly in Israel. While learning about the history and work of WIZO (Women’s International Zionist Organization), volunteers in the Marketing & PR Division assist in translating and writing important documents, researching and pitching stories for WIZO’s website, going out to interview subjects and cover WIZO events at WIZO projects across Israel and assisting in writing WIZO news articles for the WIZO website and social media profiles. The work environment is very dynamic and a wonderful experience for those interested in a career in Jewish communal service and journalism.

Internship Qualifications:

Knowledge of Hebrew, along with French and/or Spanish is encouraged
Some journalistic writing experience

World WIZO is looking for volunteers who would like to experience a professional fundraising or marketing & public relations internship based in the center of Tel Aviv. The length of the internship is between 3-6 months based on 20 hours of work a week and suitable for individuals aged 22-30 who have excellent English communication skills and who are visiting Israel for an extended period of time.

WIZO was founded in the UK in 1920 – is the largest international organization catering for women, children and the elderly in Israel, with a comprehensive network of 800 institutions and programs. These projects include 9 schools and youth villages, 178 daycare centers, youth clubs, women’s centers and two women’s shelters for victims of domestic violence and their children. On a daily basis, through its network of daycare centers, the organization cares for about 14,000 children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years. is the largest International organization catering for women, children and the elderly in Israel, with a comprehensive network of 800 institutions and programs. These projects include 8 schools and youth villages, 175 daycare centers, youth clubs, and women.
